Super Subs at Super Subs in Banning

Asian SubSuper Subs in Banning is owned by a husband and wife who just may be the happiest sandwich makers ever!   So Banning may be out of the way for some, but if you find yourself cruising to Palm Springs for the weekend or venturing out to Stagecoach, make yourself  a note to stop at this place.

Super Subs is a tiny place, but they’re huge on friendly service and quality sandwiches.  I stooped in after hearing about the highly recommended “Asian Sandwich” from a friend of mine.  I ordered the 6″ small sub and waited patiently for its delivery.  The sandwich is served on a fresh, French baguette and looking at reminded me of a Californian-ized (is that a word) Banh Mi.   The sandwich was painted with a thin coat of mayo and piled high with warmed slices of chicken breast, melted cheese, pickled carrots, fresh cucumber, diced jalapeno peppers, cilantro and topped with a sweet, creamy Asian dressing.  Wow!   The flavors all worked together to form an amazing symphony of flavors on one truly unique and delicious creation.   I will now stop every time I am cruising down Interstate 10 just to have one of these.

A friend of mine ordered a “Super Sub” which is made up of your choice of two meats, one cheese and your choice of toppings.  Ordered with the works, it comes with mustard, mayo, lettuce, super subpickles, olives, and tomatoes.  Another winner packed with at least twice the amount of meat you get at that really large franchise sub store we all know.

Now about the service… the owners are so nice, they make you want to come back even though you just stopped in on the way to a bigger destination.   They go out of their way to know your name, welcome you to their place, and even invite you back.
